How to use the Lotto checker and shared board
How the results checker works
Lottery-Checker compares every UK Lotto line associated with this browser with both rounds of the latest manually checked draw and each round’s Bonus Ball. It shows each match, a possible prize or a no-match message. You can also send 1-7 UK Lotto lines for a one-off comparison that is not retained.
- Open the latest UK Lotto result, or choose a dated draw from the results archive.
- Enter 1 to 7 complete lines in Check your own lines, keeping the main and extra-number fields separate.
- Compare the displayed matches for that draw. Typed lines are used for a one-off comparison and are not added to My lines or the shared board.
- To compare lines previously marked in this browser, choose Check saved lines after the result has been published.
UK Lotto number rules
UK Lotto uses 6 main numbers from 1 to 59.
Choose six distinct numbers. You do not choose a Bonus Ball. Each round draws six main numbers and then a Bonus Ball from the remaining numbers. The Bonus Ball distinguishes the match-five-plus-bonus tier. The two-round format began on 10 June 2026. Earlier draws have one round.
Worked checking example
Illustrative example, not a real draw: a line of 3, 11, 22, 34, 45, 59 compared with Round 1 numbers 3, 11, 22, 34, 45, 57 and Bonus Ball 59 has 5 main matches plus the Bonus Ball. Compare the original six-number line separately against Round 2. Never combine matches from the two rounds.
Probability formula and assumptions
There are 45,057,474 possible six-number combinations in one UK Lotto result round, calculated as C(59,6). Under the current two-round Lotto format, the same entered line is checked against two separate rounds in each draw.
For one line in one round, P(match 6) = 1 / C(59,6). Across two independent rounds, P(at least one match 6) = 1 - (1 - 1 / 45,057,474)², approximately 1 in 22,528,737.25.
C(n,k) = n! / (k! × (n-k)!), where n is the pool size and k is the number chosen. These calculations assume a fair draw, selections without replacement within a pool, independent separate pools, and no importance attached to number order. They describe number matches, not guaranteed payouts or raffle-code odds.
For m different six-number lines in one round, P(at least one match 6) = m / N, with N = 45,057,474 and 0 ≤ m ≤ N. Across the same two independent rounds it is 1 - (1 - m / N)². Repeating a line does not cover another combination.

What “marked” means
When a visitor marks a UK Lotto line, that exact line is recorded on Lottery-Checker’s shared board until its scheduled reset. It is not a record of every ticket sold.
UK Lotto is normally drawn twice a week, so the shared board is intended for the current draw cycle and then planning starts again.
Why duplicates matter
If 21 UK Lotto entries are planned but 5 are repeats, the group has only 16 unique combinations. Repeated lines do not cover extra six-number combinations.
Avoiding a repeated planned line does not improve an individual line’s odds. It helps a group cover different combinations within a fixed number of planned entries.
Existing syndicates
For an existing UK Lotto syndicate, the planner is a simple way to compare members’ six-number lines before the group buys official tickets separately.
Existing groups remain responsible for their own ticket purchases, agreements and prize sharing. Lottery-Checker does not manage syndicates or money.
