How to use the Thunderball checker and shared board
How the results checker works
Lottery-Checker compares Thunderball lines associated with this browser with the latest manually checked result. It shows matching main numbers and Thunderball, a possible prize or a no-match message. You can also send 1-7 Thunderball lines for a one-off comparison that is not retained.
- Open the latest Thunderball result, or choose a dated draw from the results archive.
- Enter 1 to 7 complete lines in Check your own lines, keeping the main and extra-number fields separate.
- Compare the displayed matches for that draw. Typed lines are used for a one-off comparison and are not added to My lines or the shared board.
- To compare lines previously marked in this browser, choose Check saved lines after the result has been published.
Thunderball number rules
Thunderball uses 5 main numbers from 1 to 39 and 1 Thunderball from 1 to 14.
Choose five distinct main numbers and one Thunderball from its separate pool. The Thunderball may have the same value as a main number. Number order does not matter, and the extra ball must be compared in its own pool.
Worked checking example
Illustrative example, not a real draw: a line of 3, 11, 22, 34, 39 with Thunderball 6 compared with 3, 11, 22, 35, 38 and Thunderball 6 has 3 main matches plus the Thunderball. A Thunderball match alone is a separate prize tier, so do not overlook the extra ball.
Probability formula and assumptions
The full Thunderball top-prize combination total is 8,060,598, calculated as C(39,5) × 14.
For one full line in one draw, P(top-prize number match) = 1 / (C(39,5) × 14) = 1 / 8,060,598.
C(n,k) = n! / (k! × (n-k)!), where n is the pool size and k is the number chosen. These calculations assume a fair draw, selections without replacement within a pool, independent separate pools, and no importance attached to number order. They describe number matches, not guaranteed payouts or raffle-code odds.
For m different full lines in the same draw, P(at least one top-prize number match) = m / N, where N is the full combination total and 0 ≤ m ≤ N. This does not describe the chance of any smaller prize. Repeating a line does not cover another combination.

Only marked lines shows combinations currently marked on this game’s shared board by visitors, including your own. Turning one filter on turns the other off. Leave both off to browse all valid combinations. Open My lines to see just the lines associated with this browser.
What “marked” means
When a visitor marks a Thunderball line, that exact line is recorded on Lottery-Checker’s shared board until its scheduled reset. It is not a record of every ticket sold.
Thunderball has several weekly draws, so the planner is useful for keeping lines organised for the current draw cycle.
Why duplicates matter
If several Thunderball visitors choose favourite numbers, repeats can happen quickly. Checking the shared board first helps the group cover different full combinations.
Avoiding a repeated planned line does not improve an individual line’s odds. It helps a group cover different combinations within a fixed number of planned entries.
Existing syndicates
For an existing Thunderball syndicate, the planner can help members avoid selecting the same five main numbers and Thunderball combination twice.
Existing groups remain responsible for their own ticket purchases, agreements and prize sharing. Lottery-Checker does not manage syndicates or money.
