Set For Life number rules
Set For Life uses 5 main numbers from 1 to 47 and 1 Life Ball from 1 to 10.
Choose five distinct main numbers and one Life Ball. The Life Ball comes from a separate pool, so it may repeat a main number. Number order does not matter. Top and second-tier annuity awards are subject to the operator’s game-specific rules.
Worked checking example
Illustrative example, not a real draw: a line of 3, 11, 22, 34, 45 with Life Ball 6 compared with 3, 11, 22, 35, 46 and Life Ball 6 has 3 main matches plus the Life Ball. A Life Ball match is counted separately from the five main numbers.
Probability formula and assumptions
The full Set For Life top-prize combination total is 15,339,390, calculated as C(47,5) × 10.
For one full line in one draw, P(top-prize number match) = 1 / (C(47,5) × 10) = 1 / 15,339,390.
C(n,k) = n! / (k! × (n-k)!), where n is the pool size and k is the number chosen. These calculations assume a fair draw, selections without replacement within a pool, independent separate pools, and no importance attached to number order. They describe number matches, not guaranteed payouts or raffle-code odds.
For m different full lines in the same draw, P(at least one top-prize number match) = m / N, where N is the full combination total and 0 ≤ m ≤ N. This does not describe the chance of any smaller prize. Repeating a line does not cover another combination.

What “marked” means
When a visitor marks a Set For Life line, that exact line is recorded on Lottery-Checker’s shared board until its scheduled reset. It is not a record of every ticket sold.
Set For Life is normally drawn twice a week, so the shared board should be treated as a draw-cycle planning board rather than a permanent record.
Why duplicates matter
If 14 Set For Life lines are planned but 3 of them repeat combinations already chosen by someone else, only 11 different top-prize combinations are covered.
Avoiding a repeated planned line does not improve an individual line’s odds. It helps a group cover different combinations within a fixed number of planned entries.
Existing syndicates
For an existing Set For Life syndicate, the planner can help members compare suggested lines before official ticket buying is done elsewhere.
Existing groups remain responsible for their own ticket purchases, agreements and prize sharing. Lottery-Checker does not manage syndicates or money.
